How Can It Be?

Posted by lostcerebellum, Jul 11, 2008. 1973 views. ID = 1476
This post was written in 2 minutes.
After hearing that a friend had died in a motorcycle accident, I was just sitting in the living room, bummed out, and strumming my guitar. One tune I happened to be playing was a melancholy one that I had written earlier, but had never put words to. These lyrics came as I was playing it and thinking about him that day.

How can it be, God has taken you from me?
I know, where you are, you are better off by far,
But still, here below, it’s so hard to let go;
One minute you’re here, and then you’re gone.
It’s like there’s a hole that goes through my heart and my soul,
And yet, through it all, I’m glad I had a chance to love you at all.
