Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

Leo

by Leo

I am the lion. I am the lover. I write about my beloved, my flower, my sister, my bride.

These are my thoughts and feelings. These are my outpourings. This is an example of how a man loves a woman; truly, deeply, passionately. This is the Song of Songs. This is the Love Story. This is how God intended romance to be, and this is how it I express it, and share it with all of you.

There's a beauty, such a beauty
That's embedded deep inside you
You're a woman of such beauty
And I simply must remind you
That it bubbles and it boils
Like an overflowing satin
That has scalded all my senses
So that you can't be forgotten

Take your graceful, gentle, loving arms
And wrap them tight around me
And then kiss my mouth, my darling
For this longing that's inside me
Is unbearable to carry
This desire I must appease
You're the woman I will marry
And no other can compare to you
I swear to you! Declare to you!
The fairest of the fair are you
You are the best of these

Oh, my darling, I'm the lover
And you will be my beloved
Let us pour our hearts together
Let us share the product of it
Let us be our own adventure
Let us serve to one another
Let us worship God together
You, my sister; I, your brother

You are made in the image of God, my dear
You are possessed of a loveliness divine
I can't see your flaws of skin, from far or near
All offerings of proof of these I'll decline

You are more than a female body, lover
You are more than hips or legs, eyes or smile, breasts
You are a living, breathing reflection of
Him upon which the entire universe rests

Let us run! Oh, let us run!
Let us run and hide away
Let me celebrate your loveliness
In many different ways

I will cherish, I will wonder
I will pick you all apart
I will chase you and pursue you
I will understand your heart

I will give you all my muscle
All my manliness is yours
I'm a warrior, my darling
And for you I fight the wars

I will take you on adventures
I will help you with the chores
And, when our love is in season
Draw the curtains, lock the doors

Let us run! Oh, let us run!
Let us run and hide away
Let me celebrate my love for you
Until the end of days

Don't weep, my dear, don't weep
Your tears are far too precious
To be wasted on the cheap

I will hold you, darling
And God will strengthen my arms
To keep us both from falling

You are strong and comely
You trust a God who guides you
Around the thorns so brambley

In you there is a wonder
The zenith of all beauty
That our Father didn't squander!

You may be made of my own rib
But I have noticed things
That don't originate from me
Traits, from without, God brings

He has caught and woven the wind
And it became your hair
For eyes, He caught the sun and moon
Like jewels, He set them there

Your figure like the cirrus clouds
With graceful, gentle curves
Your voice came from a flowing stream
Refreshing are your words

Your spirit doesn't long for war
Or need to show it's strength
You simply have a beauty that
Reveals itself at length

You may be made of my own rib
But wonders shan't be less
For God replaced the manly parts
With feminine finesse!

Oh thump thump thump
Said my heart, said my heart
Ev'ry pump, pump, pump
Simply shaking it apart
Ev'ry crazy word I say
And the smiles you send my way
Make the strings of my heart play
Like the music of a harp

Let your smile, let your smile
Flow into my eyes like water
So I drink in all your beauty
While my blood grows ever hotter
And when all my words are spoken
And my hijinx are all done
Know that they were just a token
Of the ones that are to come!
