Beyond the Paranormal: Chapter 3: A Friend in Need...(pt. 1)

Luke awoke in a field, still dazed from the fight. He surveyed the landscape he found himself in. It was a beautiful sight to see, the hills of beautiful grass, the brisk breeze blowing the flowers were they would, and a winged warrior with purple armor and a sword standing admiring its beauty. Luke approached the warrior and noted his readiness to fight.
“Go away,” the man said before he’d even seen Luke. Luke was startled but still crept forward. “I said, go away!” He declared more boldly than before but that didn’t stop Luke, he just kept walking as though he were spellbound.
Finally, the warrior whirled around revealing his dark complexion and his aggressive face, along with his black hair. To Luke, he looked pretty demonic with those hawk-like wings, it reminded him of Energico, and he readied himself to fight. He flung himself, fist first, at the warrior and he passed through him.
“I told you to go away,” he looked depressed, “bad things come to my friends…” just then Luke began to disintegrate. He just began to be blown away with the wind!

Zach paced the floor. Where were they, he thought, how long had they been gone? He continued to pace the floor. He then, unexpectedly, burst through the doors and walked down the hall to the training room and as he walked in he saw an unusual sight…
Fred was floating in the air blowing up targets incinerating them to rubbish. He was also trying to quicken his reaction time, and to use moves without shouting them out for his enemies to here. For the most part, he was succeeding; in his anger he had used a ‘Ring of Fire’ move without calling it out and had done it with quick succession. Fred stopped, panting, he was tired but he had improved a great deal. If only the other heroes were as dedicated as this one, thought Zach admiringly.
“Hey teach, what’s up?” said Fred.
“I need you to do me a favor,” said Zach, “I need you…to tell me why you failed your mission!!!” Zach’s eyes were gleaming black with hate again, but this was the first time Fred had noticed (or cared for that matter).
“I’m sorry Mr. Masters, he was too powerful, and when I woke up he was gone,” he paused, hoping to get some sympathy or mercy, all he got was a punch in the gut. That ticked him off, his hair burst into flames. That was all he would stand for.
“Power up!” He shouted, his body was ablaze, and his hair burned brighter every second. After a few seconds, the fire went out, revealing his spirit-human suit; it also changed his hair from black to red (not orange, but red, real red). He knew in his heart he would lose the fight, but in his anger he disregarded his fear and prepared himself to fight. It was now, Zach decided, that he would reveal himself to someone.
A dark cloud swirled around Zach to the point where you couldn’t see him anymore. The mist swiftly circulated around Zach forming various unusual features such as wings, claws, and spiked armor stained with blood.
“Now you’ll get a taste of true spirit power!” He called out, but that didn’t matter to Fred, he was still ticked off pretty bad…
