It Snowed Last Night

This post was written in 3 minutes.
I have to admit, it certainly was pretty when I woke up this morning.

I woke up to a winter wonderland
Of soft white cotton piled on all the trees.
It brought me recollections oh so grand,
Of youth, and times I sat on Santa’s knees.

I woke up to a world changed overnight
By fluffy little cotton balls of snow
That gave the world a blanket pure and white,
And made it seem like it was all aglow.

I woke up to a world so gleaming bright
And beautiful, it made my spirit soar.
To think that such a lovely, gorgeous sight
Means, "Time to get the shovel out once more".

Very well written, smoothly metered... funny, tongue-in-cheeky ending. Excellent presentation.

This is the story of Sleeping Beauty as you have never heard it before. A wonderful read!
