Letter To Santa Claus

Dear Santa,

By this time tommorow,
you will have a million letters,
Piled up on your desk,
So I will not ask much for me,
Just a simple moment of time.

Santa, I know you make toys,
That is plain and clear,
But what better toy then a friend who is near?
My uncle... he is ill,
Cancer they call it,
In two months his chair by the fire will be empty,
Unless you give him health.
Please, Santa,
Let his smile warm a room once again.

Oh Santa, I know were you live...
You live in the north,
Surrounded by family and friends.
Some people are not as lucky as you,
My best friend, her father celebrates Christmas in Iraq this year,
And her brother is there too.
Oh Santa, so many will be gone from Christmas this season,
So for them I ask protection, and a special greeting.
For those at home, a letter or note,
A gift, or something, from there family.

Santa, I am sorry for taking your time,
You have toys to paint,
and thats just fine.
But I have a friend, who cannot see a thing.
She is blind, the poor thing.
Unlike others, she will never learn brail,
For she can feal nothing through her hands at all.
Santa, for her, your toys are just more objects
Give her the gift of sight, and of touch.

Santa, I know you must get to work,
You have thousands of requests this year,
From America to Denmark.
The doll for Betty Sue needs stuffing,
The train for Bobby Joe needs painting,
And you need to cheak your list again.
So you are plenty busy, I suppose,
But Could you just give me those three things?

I know I've been perfectly good,
it's hard to do anything wrong from a hospital bed.

So now, I will bid you adu,
As I am sure that you have plenty to do.
Goodbye, and Merry Christmas!!

P.S. Do not worry to much if you cannot get those gifts ready for this year,
I sent a letter to Jesus too.
