From Birth to Death

Look at me; how beautiful I am! See how sharp and crisp are my edges, how brilliantly white are my perfectly formed symmetrical faces, how geometrically pure is my hexagonal shape. One of a kind I am, and I am beautiful.

Watch me float; how daintily I flit too and fro with every gentle blowing of the breeze! Now slow, now fast, with the elegance and grace of a ballerina I drift toward the waiting earth that longs for my beauty to cover its brown and ugly barrenness.

See my devotees; how eagerly they dance and laugh and play, tossing me and my brethren hither and yon! None there is like me to cover saddest faces with delight and joy.

Even this, the four-footed canine beast, cannot help but be moved by my beauty. See how he stares at me, how he sniffs my lovely form, and then how he turns his back and...
