 | This week's poetry assignment: write a love poem to an inanimate object. |
Beloved floor, once meriting my praise,
How far our love has fallen on the rocks;
And oh, how much you've changed since gentle days
When you gave sweet caress where'er I walked!
But you have left your soft and and kindly ways,
And dressed instead with cruel Lego blocks.
