"I think I heard this same speech last November."

Time to Vote For Change

My fellow Americans you don't need me to tell you that we are living in troubled times. There are far too many of our fair citizens out of work, some for months. Even some working people are losing their homes through no fault of their own but due to chicanery of the evil banking system. There is rampant crime in the streets of our fair city and decent people are afraid to go out of their houses in the night. What do I need to say about our fragile health care system, teetering on the brink of collapsing?
Now is the time for change and I am issuing a challenge to all the voters in this wonderful town. You people carry the power, yes the power of the lever. All I ask is that you pull that lever for me this November, for I am the candidate of change. We need to tell these ne`er do wells in office that we are wise to them and a vote for me will show them just that.

As you listen to my opponent bloviate about all of his accomplishments in office, I want you to ask you self "Am I better off or is everything worse since he went into power?" I doubt his boastful orations will say anything about how high the taxes have risen, or how low the services have dropped in this town that many say is the friendliest city in our land. When he brags about the mélange of benefits to the city he has done, listen to see if he talks about how only the rich can now afford to go to the doctor. Just remember my fellow citizens as you hear his vacuous promises, that these are the same promises you heard last time he ran. Ask yourself, if he couldn't deliver during this term in office how he could in the next term.

Therefore, as we go to the polls this Tuesday if you are ready for change in this fair city, when you vote for dogcatcher remember to vote for me. This spot approved by the 'Dogcatcher for Change Committee'.
