This post was written in 13 minutes.
Mittens and boots and laughter light the air.
Night Lamps are caked with snow along a wall.
I want to push the children's sled around.
Blue skies are cold and wet with rain tonight.
Hot chocolate will make us warm inside.
The cottage windows steamed with old man time.
I smell the chimney smoke like autumn leaves
and think of when we met a year ago.Copyright 2015 Topazshell. All rights reserved. FifteenMinutesOfFiction.com has been granted non-exclusive rights to display this work. For permission to reprint this item, please contact the author.
