Fifteen Minutes Of Fiction

A site for people who love to write, but don't have time to write! It's never been this much fun, or this easy...just fifteen minutes to write poetry and prose, and publish for all the world to see.

Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

You've heard that everyone gets fifteen minutes of fame. That's not what this is. This is Fifteen Minutes of Fiction - a site that helps you hone your creative writing skills while you enjoy some great writing!

Alfred Hitchcock once said, "There is no terror in the bang, only in the anticipation of it."

DID YOU KNOW... If you Like our Facebook Page, you'll get the weekly writing prompt in your Facebook newsfeed every week!

Articles About Creative Writing!

Articles about Creative Writing have now been added to the site; find information about grammar, punctuation and word usage, as well as an extensive set of informative articles about writing poetry, and some resources for writers.

Try the Grab Bag

Grab Bag is a great way to have a bit of fun while getting some writing practice. Just tell the site how many words you want, and we'll give you a list of randomly selected words and phrases to use in your writing. It's a fun way to generate writing ideas! If you're logged in, you can post your writing for others to read!

"But I'm Not A Writer!"

That's perfectly fine! Many people have joined the site just so they can keep up-to-date with the writers they like the most. Visit out writers page to start finding great writers to add to your Reading List. Just create a free account and get started!

You may also want to browse our Featured Gallery and Most Popular Posts to find more great stories and poems.

And when it comes right down to it, after you've been on the site for awhile, we're sure the creative juices will start flowing, and you'll want to post something too!

"But I'm Not A Good Writer!"

That's fine too! This site was designed for anyone who enjoys writing, but doesn't have large amounts of time to dedicate to the writing process. Here you can block off as much or as little time as you want to write a piece of narrative writing, poetry, dialogue, etc. Then, once you've made it public, other members can view what you've written and make comments. You'll be surprised out how friendly and helpful folks are on this site. Just create a free account and get started!

"But I Need Some Ideas To Get Started!"

That's why we have a weekly writing prompt. The weekly writing prompt is a simple scenario, story idea, or poetry instruction that will help you get your brain in gear and begin writing something. Many of our members visit the site regularly throughout the week to read what others have written, and then once per week they do the writing prompt. Eventually, you may decide to get courageous and write something without a writing prompt, but the prompt is a great place to start!

In addition to the weekly writing prompt, you can also get some ideas by visiting the Grab Bag to get a randomly generated writing prompt!
